This course is perfect for both those who are new to the tarot or those who want to expand on their knowledge of the cards.
Tarot is a reflection of your mental, emotional and spiritual energies. Working with the tarot allows you to get in touch with the deepest part of yourself and where you are in your life. As the creator of YOUR own reality, Tarot helps you understand yourself at the most profound level.
The course will run over 8 classes every second Saturday from 1.30pm to 4pm starting on 20 January 2024
Milestones reached during the course:
A deeper knowledge of all the 78 cards – Major and Minor Arcana
How the tarot is linked to the chakras, numerology, astrology, the Angelic realms, mythology, psychology, shamanism, the Archetypes and alchemy
An intuitive as well as the practical approach to learning the cards
Being able to master a number of the spreads as well as design your own spreads. These include the powerful alchemy spread, the triquetra spread, the year ahead spread, the celtic cross, and more.
Using the cards as a reflective or predictive guide, either for self-growth or adding this powerful tool your healing practice.
Ethical considerations when doing readings for others. Your responsibility as a psychic/tarot consultant.
Various meditations to help you to connect to intuition, higher self, the cards and your totem animals.
Shamanism, the Major Arcana and the 3 worlds – the upper world, middle world and lower world
We will also cover work on the pendulum and psychometry and the use of the pendulum in readings
The Major Arcana:
An indepth study of the 22 trumps cards. From the fool as iterant traveller to the world as self-actualised being.
Identifying the symbols within each card and how they speak to the unconscious mind.
Carl Jung, the universal archetypes and discovering the archetypes that we use to function in the world. We will look at how these archetypes relate to the tarot. An archetype is a typical character, an action or a situation that seems to represent such universal patterns of human nature.
The meanings of the colours and the numbers of the tarot.
Tarot constellations and how to calculate your trump card.
Gaining and understanding of the shadow side that resides within us so that we can identify it and integrate it into our lives in order to reach a greater state of balance and wholeness.

The Minor Arcana
The 4 elements, their meanings and how to use them in readings
A greater understanding of the symbols and meanings of the 4 suites
Finding answers to day to day question with the Minor Arcana
A simple and easy way to read the court cards. Many struggle to connect with the court cards. You will learn how to pick up on their meanings with greater ease
Personality, The Archetypes and the court cards. Which one are you?

A full set of notes will be provided. You are required to purchase a set of the Rider Waite Tarot cards.

A Brief Biography of Yvonne De Bruin
Yvonne has studied Psychology to honours level. She is a qualified Neuro-Linguistic Programming Practitioner & has a Masters in both Erickson Hypnosis and NLP and Health. She has completed courses in trauma and bereavement counselling as well as a number of personal empowerment and divinatory workshops. Yvonne has studied and practiced Reiki, Belvaspata Healing, Access Bars and Transformational Healing Massage. She has combined her years of experience with the knowledge that she has built up through study and research and now offers spiritual counselling and coaching by email or on a one on one basis to those who need personal guidance. She is also the founder of the website www.spiritualworld.co.za which has successfully been running for the past 20 years and has provided information to those who want to learn about complementary health and healing
